Clear Creek, which drops from the mountains just west of Denver, provides a fun and challenging whitewater rafting experience. The river traverses past ponderosa pine, juniper, and Douglas fir tree forests before tumbling through the old mining town of Idaho Springs.

This Clear Creek Colorado whitewater rafting trip will take you past wildlife such as river otter, big horn sheep, and the occasional bear. Our Clear Creek office is just 30 minutes from Denver, 45 minutes from Winter Park, and 1-1/4 hours from Boulder with easy access from all of Grand County, Summit County and Vail.

CLEAR CREEK THIRD-DAY BEGINNER RAFTING ADVENTURE

Grab a paddle and jump aboard! This beginner trip offers plenty of enjoyment. The Class III rapids are frequent and playful so plan on getting wet as you negotiate your way down the river. This trip accommodates children as young as 7 years of age which makes it a fun family experience. Because the water is usually cold, wetsuits are highly suggested and are available for rent. We offer a afternoon trip at 12:00 PM.

CLEAR CREEK HALF-DAY WHITEWATER RAFTING ADVENTURE

This trip is action-packed! The water is swift and tricky as the river drops though the narrow riverbed. You will encounter frequent rapids so be prepared for excitement. This Clear Creek Colorado white water trip is rated intermediate to advanced in difficulty (i.e., Class III and Class IV rapids), so come ready to work as a team, paddle hard, and get wet. We offer a morning trip (9:00 AM) and an afternoon trip (2:30 PM).

The minimum age for rafters on this whitewater adventure is 13 years.

UPPER COLORADO RIVER WHITEWATER RAFTING

On the half-day whitewater rafting trip we put in at the Pumphouse launching site and float to the Radium take out. The morning trip meets at 8:30 AM and the afternoon trip meets at 1:00 PM.

For the full-day Upper Colorado River whitewater rafting trip we put in at the Pumphouse launching site and float to Rancho del Rio. We stop part way through the trip for a riverside lunch on the banks of the river. Lunch and beverages are provided.

The minimum age for rafters on this adventure is 4 years.
